The 5 Habits - WATER


Required: Drink half your bodyweight in ounces each day.
If you drink your required ounces that day, report your score and earn 10 points!
If you don't, you earn 0 points. *womp womp*

EXAMPLE: If you weigh 150 lbs, your water goal = 75 oz/day or more

Your body is made up of about 60% water and it needs water to….
- Digest your food - Transport nutrients inside your body - Maintain body temperature - Keep your skin looking good - Give you more energy during a workout - Balance hormone functions - Stay satiated
- And so much more!

Also? Water is required to burn fat!
The process of metabolizing fat is called lipolysis. The first step of this process, hydrolysis, occurs when water molecules interact with fats to create glycerol and fatty acids. Without water, the body cannot properly metabolize stored fat or carbohydrates.

And anything not metabolized gets stored as fat. Therefore, water is an essential component of the weight loss equation!


Exception:


You may take one day off from the water requirement per week and still get your points for that day!
You will mark your day off in the scoring app each week.

SCORING is on THE HONOR SYSTEM.
You report your own scores in the Scoring App, and it’s important that you report honestly. Hold yourself to the same standards to which you’d hold players on opposing teams. If you’re unsure if something you’ve done earns points or penalties, message your coach for help, or ask in the community forum and tag your coach!
